Casio has just unveiled its newest line of G-SHOCK watches, called the G-SHOCK MR-G series.
In a launch event held at the L’Atelier by Lucerne in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, we got a glimpse of the MR-G watches that were made to embody “unparalleled craftsmanship” and “indestructible strength and beauty.”
Some of the watches featured in the event were the MRG-B5000B-1, the MRG-B2000D-1A, and the MRG-B2000R-1A.
You can see the three watches below:
As per Casio, the MR-G series features an all-metal construction, with the bands using DAT55G — a titanium alloy that Casio says is three times harder than pure titanium.
The series also features a finish that was made via Sallaz Polishing, a high-level polishing technique used among skilled artisans; Black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating, which pays homage to the brand’s very first model; and a color treatment for the bezel and dial that combined two Japanese hues called Kachi-iro (navy blue) and Akazonae (crimson).
