Microsoft outage affects banks, retail, airlines, and more

As of writing this article, Microsoft and most of its services are currently down. Read more to find out what are affected.

Because of a CrowdStrike update, it has affected multiple desktops and laptops who are running Windows Enterprise. This has caused computers to crash and display an error screen.

CrowdStrike is a business providing cloud-based security support. 

The Windows outage has affected the following establishments and services:

  • Banks (BDO, BPI, etc.)
  • Retail services
  • Airlines and ground flights (AirAsia, Cebu Pacific, etc.)
  • Cloud services (Amazon Web Services, Azure, etc.)
  • Microsoft services such as Microsoft 365 admin center, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Purview, PowerBI, and Viva Engage

Other than that, the official Microsoft social media accounts have yet to make a statement. There is no official date about the end of this outage.
