This means that users can download the GCash app and register using their international SIM and have the full functionality of GCash such as sending money, paying bills, buying load, and more.
Users will also need to verify their account with a Philippine passport or any valid Philippine ID to begin using.
Currently GCash Overseas is in beta and available to limited users in Japan, Australia, and Italy. GCash has also encouraged its users abroad to be one of the first 1,000 Filipinos to try it.
GCash President and CEO Martha Sazon also expressed her excitement through a Facebook post, saying that it was “Truly a huge collective effort from our team for the Filipino OFWs and migrants around the world.”
She also further stated that GCash Overseas will soon expand to users in the USA by next week.
