Google has just announced new features on Android this holiday season. Scroll down to see the full list of new features.
New Artist-Designed styles in Google Photos collage editor
Google Photos recently brought Styles to its collage editor to help share your collages and photos with your friends and family.
They have now introduced new and unique designs from two new artists — DABSMYLA and Yao Cheng Design.
Users can simply pick their photos, select a design, and rearrange its layout with simple drag-and-drop controls.
New emojis in Emoji Kitchen
Emoji Kitchen on Gboard also has new emojis that you can mash into creative sticker combos.
New Reading Mode on Android
They also introduced a new Reading Mode on Android to help readers who are blind, dyslexic, or with low vision.
When Reading Mode is on, it will give the user options for customizable displays including contrast, font type and size, and a text-to-speech function with speed control.
New YouTube Home Screen Search Widget
Google has also added a new YouTube widget for the home screen that allows you to search videos or jump straight to your library of videos, Shorts, or subscriptions directly on the widget.
Directly cast from Google TV app in a single tap
Android users will also now be able to direct cast from the Google TV app to a compatible TV with just a single tap.
Users can also continue browsing other options while watching and use their phone as a remote control too.
Share Digital Car Keys
Digital Car Keys on Android allows users to unlock, lock, and turn on a compatible car with just their Android device.
Users can now share their compatible digital car key with friends and family across Pixel and iPhones (coming soon to select phones with Android versions 12 and up).
There you can also view and change who has access to your car in the digital wallet app.
Wear OS Tiles and New Features
Wear OS also gets upgraded with Tiles that make it easier to see important information at a glance.
Google Keep on Wear OS has also seen an update so that one’s notes and to-do lists from the phone will be viewed better on the watch.
Google Assistant will also be able to quickly jump into over 30 types of exercises with the Adidas Running app.
