After years of consistent pricing, Spotify will now implement price hikes for its various Premium subscriptions in several countries.

All Premium subscriptions in the United States have a one-dollar increase in pricing, with the exception of the Duo plan, which has seen a two-dollar hike. Here’s an overview of the new pricing, implemented since July 24, 2023:

• Premium Individual now costs USD 10.99 (previously USD 9.99)
• Premium Duo increased to USD 14.99 (previously USD 12.99)
• Premium Family plan now priced at USD 16.99 (previously USD 15.99)
• Student plan now costs USD 5.99 (previously USD 4.99)

Fortunately, the Philippines is not included in its implementation at this time. Spotify is transparent enough to have determined a list of countries that will experience a price hike. The list is as follows:

Andorra, Albania, Argentina, Austria, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Bulgaria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, Spain, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Croatia, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Iceland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Monaco, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Serbia, Sweden, Singapore, Slovenia, Slovakia, San Marino, Thailand, Türkiye, United States, Kosovo

The new pricing for Spotify Premium subscriptions will not take effect immediately. According to Spotify’s FAQ page, current subscribers will receive an email notification, and have a one-month grace period before the new prices go into effect.
