(UPDATE) The Philippine Coastguard has confirmed that a vessel traversing the waters of Bohol and Leyte caught fire Sunday afternoon.

The vessel was identified as M/V N&N Mama Mary Chloe and its capacity was up to 326 passengers. 

It was en route from Ubay, Bohol and to Bato, Leyte.

According to the Philippine Coast Guard, a total of 236 passengers, including 15 children, were onboard the vessel.

PCG also confirmed a passenger died while another is still missing. One hundred sixty-three other passengers have been rescued.

Some of the survivors were at the Port of Hilongos, while others are at the municipality of Pitogo.
