Twitter CEO Elon Musk is doubling down on his previous announcement of stepping down as the head of the social networking platform, saying that he aims to find his successor toward the end of 2023.
Musk reiterated his plans during the UAE World Government Summit 2023 on February 15, where he was a guest speaker.
Musk says that he plans to “stabilize the organization…[and] make sure it’s in a financially healthy place [and] that the product roadmap is clearly laid out” before he steps down as Twitter CEO.
He adds that he expects the company to stabilize by the end of 2023 and would thus let someone else take the reigns by then.

As mentioned earlier, this isn’t the first time Musk has said that he would be stepping down as Twitter CEO. However, it does feel like Musk is planning to push through with his plans to finally step down.
It can be recalled that, at one point, Musk conducted a poll asking his very own Twitter followers whether he should step down as the head of Twitter (with 57% voting that he should).
Let’s see whether Elon actually resigns as Twitter CEO at the end of the year.
