I. HISTORY:
The company was registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission on February 15, 1983 and was incorporated in the Philippines as a Stock Corporation for the primary purpose of engaging in and carrying out the business of tourism and its allied services as well as maintaining, providing and operating tourist escort services and travel arrangements with foreign or domestic carriers. Currently, it is located at Door 1 Josefa Arcade, 46 General Maxilom Avenue, Zapatera, Cebu City.
The company became an IATA member since 1994, with a total paid-up capital of Php 3,000,000.00 equivalent to 30,000 shares. The stockholders who made the greatest achievements in Rainbow Tours and Travel Inc. were Ruby G. Lim, Sergio D. Lim, Christine Denise G. Lim, Riza G. Almendras, Jerome G. Almendras, Beauty Grace T. Gotiong, Robert C. Gotiong.
The company has no loans/credit in any bank. The income sustains the operation of the company. It is accredited with the Department of Tourism, International Airport Transportation Association, Philippine International Airport Transportation Association, Cebu City Tourism Commission, Cebu Travels and Tours Association and the Department of Foreign Affairs.
